What started out as an impromptu deck jam soon turned in to a magical night of music, and an eclectic blend of talent that would form the band Slow Burn. The name Slow Burn best encapsulates lead singer Jessie Barry’s vocals with the way that it hits you like a good belt of whisky; it’s both rough and smooth at the same time, enchantingly sexy, and wildly smoky.
As the sun began to set, the band was really kicking-it and vibing. A group of passer-byers had gathered on the beach below - completely drawn in and shouting for more. There was no doubt that something really amazing was about to unfold...
A little over a year later, Slow Burn has written enough songs to cover several albums and they are in the process of recording their first two releases, “Lighter Shade of Grey” and “Don’t I Look Good Walkin’ Away”. With influences from Susan Tedeschi, Fleetwood Mac, The Black Crows, Amy Winehouse, and even Zeppelin... this band can do it all. Slow Burn’s music is a unique blend of blues & rock, with soulful vocals and rich harmonies. Collectively, the band has over 40+ yeas of studio and stage experience. Slow Burn’s set list is massive and spans from contemporary to classic rock, but what really sets the band apart from others is their ability to write well-crafted songs that have proven to hold their own in any venue.
