Held annually at the Eastern States Exposition, the Eastern Regional FFA Contest is a premier agricultural competition that brings together high school students from across the Northeast. Taking place on Friday and Saturday, September 12-13, 2025, this event features over 20 career development contests, including livestock judging, forestry, agricultural issues, and mechanics. Participants have the opportunity to showcase their skills, engage in hands-on learning, and connect with industry professionals, all within the vibrant setting of The Big E.

Grant Norfleet hails from Mexico, Missouri, where he grew up on his family’s beef and row crop farm. As passionate beef producers, he and his younger brother, Jack, showed cattle during their time in 4-H and FFA. A 2025 graduate of the University of Missouri, Grant earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and Leadership.

He most recently served as the 2023–2024 National FFA Secretary, representing more than one million FFA members across the country. During his year of service, he traveled over 120,000 miles, visiting FFA members in 30 states.

Currently, Grant has started his graduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, pursuing a master’s degree in Education, Development, and Community Engagement. He will also serves as a graduate research assistant, working with farmers to enhance workforce development.

Grant is passionate about learning and leadership development and is dedicated to a career in helping others grow, succeed, and thrive.
