The Eastern Regional FFA Program is a unique activity. Combining 20 states from the Eastern Region (ranging from Rhode Island to Michigan) over 900 FFA Students compete in 2 dates of exciting competition. Most CDE events are open to the public and some of the most public CDE events are: Floral Arrangement – Fall Harvest Time with a modern interpretation & Landscape Exhibits – Deer Resistance.

Can’t come and see the 2 days of competition? Stop and see the FFA Corsage Makers action! Located in the Farm-A-Rama building, each day, a FFA chapter arrives at the Fair to make corsages for Fairgoers and march in that day’s parade.

Meet your 2017 National FFA National Officer

Victoria Harris<br />National FFA Secretary
Victoria Harris
National FFA Secretary
When she first joined FFA, Victoria Harris wasn't sure of her place in the organization, but fellow members kept pulling her into the "game." She credits those FFA members for empowering her to live to her full potential. As a result, today she wants to continue to invest in the organization.

"My ultimate hope is that students, alumni, stakeholders and friends of FFA would realize how FFA impacts the lives of students," Harris says. "I firmly believe the bluejacket meets and accommodates the needs of every student who wears it."

Harris was elected to the 2016-17 National FFA Officer Team as secretary at the 89th National FFA Covention & Expo.

A biology major at the University of Florida, Harris is involved in the university's Freshman Leadership Council and she serves as an ambassador for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, as a facilitator for the Young Leaders Conference and as a mentor for the UF Middle School. A member of Strawberry Crest FFA, she served as chapter secretary (2013-14), federation treasurer (2013-14) and Florida State Secretary (2014-15).

Harris's supervised agricultural experience is composed of a wide array of projects to help prepare her for a career in veterinary medicine. As she progressed in her veterinary assisting classes, she took on more projects to supplement her learning and provide a more holistic view of agriculture.

Upon graduation she hopes to continue her education at a college of veterinary medicine and specialize in food animal production. Her ideal career would be working with the United States Department of Agriculture to ensure the safety and health of animal agriculture.
