The $150,000 Rhode Island Building was dedicated in 1957, marking the completion of the Avenue of States and the realization of Joshua Brooks’ dream. The building is a replica of the Old Statehouse that is now preserved as a shrine in Newport.

In Rhode Island you’ll see exhibits featuring fine gold and sterling silver, veteran-made goods, Lovecraft history books and memorabilia, candy of every kind, local beer, wine and more. You’ll also find information about the state’s beautiful coastline and attractions that may just entice you to pack your bags and head for the Ocean State. Sample sumptuous Rhode Island clam cakes, chowder, lobster rolls and french fries topped with delicious toppings - and wash them down with frozen lemonade!

Blount Clam Shack – Clam cakes, clam chowder, stuffies (breading filled with clams, scallops and shrimp and served on a quahog shell) and fountain drinks

Del’s Lemonade & Refreshments Inc – Frozen lemonade in classic lemon and other flavors; take-home mix, novelty cups, soft pretzels and assorted bottled beverages

Fenham Publishing – H.P Lovecraft books, collectibles, maps and posters; sharing the history of Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe and Houdini in Rhode Island; books on Rhode Island history, hiking, humor, and ghost stories; Rhode Island puzzle poster

Friskie Fries – French fries with toppings that include pulled pork, chili, poutine, buffalo chicken , parmesan or cinnamon sugar; assorted milkshakes, classic fries, chicken tenders, fried calamari and fish

Kettle Korn Express – Rhode Island’s original kettle popcorn for more than 25 years. Popped fresh onsite on the side lawn of the building.

Lady Ann Candies' Candyland Market – 20 flavors of fudge; handmade varieties of jumbo chocolates, chocolates and freshly roasted nuts by the pound, popcorn, brittle and assorted bagged candies

National Gold and Diamond – Large display of gold and silver jewelry, watches and cleaning products; onsite chain machine is producing necklaces throughout the fair

Rhode Island Brewers Guild – A variety of local beers brewed in Rhode Island, representing breweries from across the state.

Saugy’s Inc – A food truck located on the back lawn serving Saugy's - RI's first frankfurter - chips and drinks.

Southeast Light Delights – Hot and cold lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese balls, lobster grilled cheese, scallops and grilled cheese

Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille – Varieties of Rhode Island-produced wine by the glass and frozen wine slushies.

VetMade - Variety of products made by military veterans spanning a wide variety of handmade and small production pieces, including bullet bracelets, repurposed uniform products, koozies and laser-engraved items.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo - Step inside the Rhode Island building to get a preview of this year's spooktacular event, running September 26 through November 2, where thousands of hand carved pumpkins twinkle throughout the grounds of the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence. Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Trivia – 2nd Edition returns with a brand-new batch of brain busters carved into the glow of thousands of pumpkins. It’s chapter two of the ultimate fall challenge. From pop culture to historical legends, each twist in the trail brings questions that spark curiosity and fun for all ages. Don’t miss New England’s “must-see” family-friendly event of the fall. Experience the magic of this iconic Rhode Island event with a sneak peek at this year's pumpkins in the exhibit located inside the RI Building. You can’t miss it!

Rail Explorers USA - Take a tour with Rail Explorers and experience the magic of the railroad like never before! Ride the rails on pedal-powered 'Rail Explorers' - a unique activity suitable for everyone. One of five locations in the country, the Rhode Island tour operates along the Old Colony Railroad, built in 1862. The rails meander alongside spectacular Narragansett Bay, offering riders unique views that include Jamestown, the Mount Hope Bridge, Hog Island Lighthouse, and coastal woodlands. Riders on the Southern Circuit are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy at Bayside Station during the 20 minute turnaround. Sunday morning brunch tours along with sunset and fireside tours and a new evening lantern ride!


RI250 - Commemorating the 250th anniversary of events throughout history which influenced the ideals of freedom, equality, and independence in our country. The commission will highlight and acknowledge the significant role Rhode Island has played in the formation of our nation as one of the original 13 colonies. Rhode Islanders will explore the intersection of all people who have impacted that history through coordinated events and curriculum that recognizes the many people who have inhabited these lands.
