The Big E is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all guests. To support individuals with mobility challenges, guests are permitted to bring personal mobility devices designed for use by individuals with disabilities.
Permitted devices on the grounds include:
- Manual and electric/power wheelchairs
- Personal mobility scooters (three- or four-wheeled, electric-powered)
- Other mobility aids that are designed specifically for and used by individuals with mobility-related disabilities
Please note:
- Only mobility devices intended for and used by individuals with limited mobility or mobility-related disabilities are allowed.
- Two- or one-wheeled electric or battery-operated scooters, hoverboards, skateboards, bicycles and other recreational or transportation devices that are not primarily designed for mobility assistance will not be permitted on the grounds.
- All personal mobility devices must be operated safely and at walking speed.
- Guests using personal mobility devices may be asked by gate personnel whether the device is necessary due to a mobility disability, as permitted by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Documentation is not required.
- All personal mobility devices are subject to search at the gates.
For guests who do not have a personal device, a limited number of mobility scooters and wheelchairs are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis inside Gate 4 and 9A entrances.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a safe, accessible environment for all.
Entertainment Venue Accessibility
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), only manual and power wheelchairs are permitted within designated ADA seating areas at The Big E’s entertainment venues. Due to space limitations and safety concerns, other power-driven mobility devices (OPDMDs)—including electric scooters—are not permitted inside the Big Top, the premium seating section of the Court of Honor Stage or The Big E Arena.
For The Big Top, OPDMDs must be parked in the designated scooter and stroller/wagon parking area located just inside the marquee tent. These devices are not allowed beyond the seating perimeter.
OPDMDs are not permitted to enter The Big E Arena. Similarly, they may not be parked within the immediate boundaries of the Court of Honor Stage’s seating area. There are no designated parking areas for OPDMDs outside the parameters of The Big E Arena or Court of Honor Stage.
Guests are solely responsible for their devices. Any OPDMD left unattended in these areas may be relocated by security or operations personnel to maintain a safe environment for all attendees.
Each venue includes marked ADA-accessible seating that meets or exceeds ADA capacity and design standards to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for guests using manual or power wheelchairs.
