Carolyn Conway
Carolyn Conway
Carolyn Conway purchased her first Brown Swiss in 1949 as a 4-H project. She graduated from The Thompson School at UNH in 1955. She and Raymond were married in October 1955. They purchased what is now Yawnoc Farm in the spring of 1958. She had Brown Swiss "farmed out" all over the north country as her family did not milk cows. They gathered up all her Swiss to form the basis for the Yawnoc Farm Herd. She showed at many local fairs also at the New Hampshire Breed Show and Eastern States Exposition for many years. She served for many years as the New England Brown Swiss Secretary/Treasurer. She continued to breed, develop, and promote the Yawnoc Farm Brown Swiss until her passing in 2015.
