Step back in time at The Big E’s Storrowton Village Museum, an immersive collection of nine authentically restored 18th and 19th century buildings, including the Phillips House, Union Meeting House, North Center School, Clark Blacksmith Shop, Potter Mansion, Gilbert Farmstead, Eddy Law Office, Atkinson Tavern and Baptist Meeting House.
During the Fair, visitors can explore the Village on a self-guided tour. Each building features interpretive signage and exhibits that bring New England history to life, allowing guests to discover the past at their own pace.
Daily demonstrations include open-hearth cooking in the Gilbert Farmhouse, where traditional techniques and recipes are showcased, and live blacksmithing in the Clark Blacksmith Shop. Special exhibits on view throughout the Fair include historic kitchen tools in the Gilbert Farmhouse Kitchen, a tribute to Carrie Osgood in the North Center School, a collection of antique shoes in the Gilbert Farmhouse Sitting Room, and early apothecary artifacts in the Potter Mansion Dining Room.
