planes must only be constructed out of one piece of paper, no larger than 8 ½ x
metal, ceramics, plastics, composites
and glue are OK.
aircraft must be launched by one person who made the plane, throwing the
aircraft unaided from behind a straight line marked on the floor. Throwers may
not move beyond the throw line unless instructed to by the organizers of the
results from the accuracy contest will be posted in the New England Center
throughout the day. The top 3 will be on The Big E website.
Accuracy: The participant must launch their plane and have it pass through a
hoop. The distance from the location of
where the plane stops after passing through the hoop will be measured from the
nose of the plane to the target marked on the floor. The measurement will be in
feet and inches.
Spectators will not be allowed in the launching
Entries and participants may be photographed
– photos may be used by show sponsors for promotional purposes. The photos
become the property of The Big E.
