Laini and the Wildfire is a soulful piano rock quartet from New Haven, CT. With powerhouse vocals and an eclectic blend of both modern and retro influences, the band amplifies introspective pop songwriting, creating a cohesive and dynamic sound that is clearly rooted in rock and soul. Their most recent singles “Hold On To Your Soul” and “Big Ben” further define Laini and the Wildfire’s style, which can be compared to artists like Grace Potter and Lake Street Dive. Both songs will be featured on the band’s forthcoming sophomore album. The record, set to be released in early fall 2023, channels lead singer, songwriter, and keys player Laini Marenick’s experience working as a therapist as she guides herself through her own journey to self love.
Since 2016, Laini and the Wildfire has steadily gained recognition for their energetic and engaging performances throughout venues and festivals in the northeast, supporting touring acts such as Heartless Bastards, Juice, and Alpaca Gnomes. The band’s first full length album, ‘Wandering’, was released in November 2017 and awarded the quartet the title of “Best Pop Band” by Indie Voice Blog, as well as numerous write-ups from press outlets including The Hartford Courant, CD Baby, The Big Takeover, and Indie Spoonful.
