Melaner Quiroz is a soulful Afro-Latina who’s determined to change what a woman should look like in the Latin Music Industry. From Berklee College of Music to the stage of Univision’s Reina De La Cancion. Melaner continues to prove that she will not stop knocking on doors. Growing up in a Dominican household she gives thanks to her parents who introduced her to the sounds of artists like Juan Luis Guerra, Selena, and Jose Feliciano. Artists, who without her knowing, were teaching her the foundations of music leading her to study at one of the most prestigious contemporary music schools in the world, Berklee College of Music.
In 2019, Melaner was casted as a contestant on the television show Reina De La Cancion, which was executive produced by the Latin Global artist Daddy Yankee. Melaner managed to impress the judges by fusing her soulfulness into Latin music, which led her all the way to the Top 9 of the competition. Today, Melaner looks to empower our Latino cultures through her music and influence.
