Jan. 25 - First Person Presentation - 7:30 pm
Dressed in period-appropriate clothing, Robert M. Bedard, M.D., of Tolland, Conn., will appear as Lt. Commander Hadley as he takes guests through a combination of a fervent recruiting/Patriot's speech and a recap of the trials and tribulations faced as a naval surgeon during the American Civil War.
His presentation will touch on the types of diseases and injuries encountered by the men, medical approaches of the period and the techniques and tools used, as well as medications employed.
The 45-minute presentation will be followed by a question and answer period. Admission is $5, children under 6 are admitted free and tickets will be available at the door.

Feb. 20 & 21* - A Day Away In The Past Children's Vacation Program
Children ages 7-12 can step back into the 19th century when they dress in period costume and try their hands at old-fashioned activities, craft projects and games in this Early American experience. One-day program - 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
March 9 - Maple Harvest Day - 12:00-4:00 pm
This event focuses on the history and folklore of maple sugar making in New England. The Village will offer demonstrations of tree tapping, sumac spile making and sap boiling in the front yard of the Gilbert Homestead; fireplace cooking, basket weaving and wool spinning demonstrations inside. Storrowton Tavern will offer a special maple-themed menu featuring items unique to this special day. Admission is free.
April 23 & 24* - A Day Away In The Past Children's Vacation Program
Children ages 7-12 can step back into the 19th century when they dress in period costume and try their hands at old-fashioned activities, craft projects and games in this Early American experience. One-day program - 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
June 21 - Opening Day - Free tours & craft demonstrations - 11:00 am-3:00 pm
Storrowton Village Museum kicks off the summer season with guided tours of the recreated Village and Early American craft demonstrations.
June 24- Aug. 22 - Guided Summer Tours, Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 am-3:00 pm
Guided tours by costumed interpreters of the 18th & 19th Century village includes the farmhouse, law office, schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, meetinghouse, general store and mansion.
July 20 - Storrowton's "Ice Cream Sunday" - Noon-4:00 pm
Learn how the development of dairies, the ice trade and individual creativity all came together in 19th Century New England to give us this seasonal treat. Visitors can try their hand at cranking an old-fashioned ice cream freezer first patented in 1843 by Nancy Johnson of Philadelphia -- one of the first women to receive a U.S. Patent. There will also be Early American crafts demonstrated in the Gilbert Farmstead as well as the mixing of "switchel", "ginger beer" and other cooling summertime drinks in the kitchen. The Old Storrowton Tavern will offer items on their menu utilizing ice cream as an ingredient and/or inspired by the theme of the day.
Aug. 4-8 - Early American Summer Days - Session I
Aug. 11-15 - Early American Summer Days - Session II
This week-long program takes children ages 7-12 on an exciting journey into New England's bygone days where they will experience challenging and fun hands-on activites, crafts and games. Some activities include fireplace cooking, blacksmithing, butter and cheese making, basket weaving, herbal lore, hoop and sack races and a variety of 19th Century craft projects. Space is limited and pre-registration is required for this 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. program. (Discount for early registration/multiple children.)

Create a gift from the heart by crafting a personally handmade creation with a touch of the past. You will be guided step by step through a 19th Century-style craft project to keep or to give as a special gift to be treasured now and in the future.
Dec. 6-7 Yuletide at Storrowton - 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Our annual free winter holiday festival. Tour Storrowton's 18th & 19th Century buildings, seasonally decorated by area garden clubs and florists and join us for musical performances, storytelling, old-fashioned craft demonstrations, ice sculpting, Sweet Shoppe, kids' crafts, an old-fashioned Santa and much more. Caroling on the Gazebo at 4:00 p.m., both days. Holiday gifts, decorations and many unique items are available in the Gift Shop and Christmas Shop.
Dec. 8-13 - Yuletide Open House Tours - 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Guided tours by costumed interpreters of Storrowton's beautifully decorated homes, shops and antique buildings. Reservations required for groups of 12 or more.
Dec. 10 - Yuletide By Lantern Light - 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Experience the magic of an old-fashioned winter evening on a self-guided tour of Storrowton's cozy homes and buildings, decorated for the season and illuminated by lanters and candle light. Old-fashioned craft demonstrations. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly. Reservations required for groups of 12 or more.
