A Day Away In The Past Children's Vacation Programs

Children ages 7-12 can step back into the 19th century when they dress in period costume and try their hands at old-fashioned activities, craft projects and games in this Early American experience. One-day program - 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Storrowton Village Museum, in response to spring vacation changes, will make its regular school programs, “Little Red Schoolhouse,” “Storrowton Sampler,” and “Look Back” available during the week of April 18 for those schools that are in session. Additional Info >>>>
Early American Summer Days - Two Session in August
Session I - August 1-5, 2011
Session II - August 8-12, 2011

This week-long program
takes children ages 7-12 on an exciting journey into New England's bygone days
where they will experience challenging and fun hands-on activites, crafts and
games. Some activities include fireplace cooking, blacksmithing, butter and
cheese making, basket weaving, herbal lore, hoop and sack races and a variety of
19th Century craft projects. Space is limited and pre-registration is required
for this 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. program. (Discount for early registration/multiple
children.)
