Every year The Big E strives to keep getting better and better by blending new and exciting exhibits, foods and entertainment with the timeless traditions that have established Eastern States Exposition as New England’s Great State Fair. The Big E has been able to seamlessly evolve with the times and has something for all ages to enjoy.

DigiTour – The ultimate teen concert experience bringing the biggest social media stars to the stage. Saturday, Sept. 13 (free).

Darius Rucker with Special Guest Joel Crouse – Grammy-winning rocker turned Country superstar known for his latest  Billboard Country charts no. 1 hit, “Wagon Wheel,” off his new album, True Believers with Country music up and comer Joel Crouse. Sunday, Sept. 14 ($39).

Cassadee Pope with Special Guest Chris Janson – Season 3 winner of NBC’s hit show “The Voice,” with Boston Globe’s Act to Watch in 2014, Chris Janson. Friday, Sept. 19 (free).

Eddie Money with Special Guest Tom Hambridge – Classic Rock hero who brought the hits “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Take Me Home Tonight” and more! With prolific songwriter and Grammy award winner, Tom Hambridge. Saturday, Sept. 20 (free).

Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot – The world’s premier Billy Joel show featuring one of the most dynamic and seasoned bands in the industry with an all-star lineup of longtime Billy Joel band members. Sunday, Sept. 21 (free).

Little Big Town– Reigning CMA & ACM vocal group of the year and “Day Drinking” singers. Saturday, Sept. 27 ($39).

Emblem3 with Special Guest Midnight Red – “Chloe (You’re the One I Want)” The SoCal guys of Emblem3, rose to fame as contestants on the second season of The X Factor USA. With the unstoppable boy band Midnight Red. Sunday, Sept. 28 (free)

 

Tickets for the concerts are available at Tix.com and TheBigE.com. Free concerts come with the option of premium reserved seating for $25. When purchased prior to the show date, both ticket levels include admission to the Fair, a $15 value.

Count’s 77 – Danny “Count” Koker of HISTORY’S hit series “Counting Cars” and his band of hard rockers, Sept. 12 at 8pm. Koker and “Counting Cars” co-star Kevin Mack return to the stage, Sept. 13 at 2:45 to talk about the show and answer audience questions.

Christopher Cross – “Sailing” – Grammy award-winning singer known as the face of adult contemporary radio in the 80s, Sept. 13-15 at 3 & 8pm.

Dolores “La La” Brooks – “Da Doo Ron Ron” – Original lead singer The Crystals, Sept. 16-19 at 3 & 8pm.

Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra – Massive10-vocalist Rock band performing the classic 70’s Brit Rock hits of The Who, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Queen and more,Sept. 20 at 3 & 8pm.

Cuba Gooding and the Main Ingredient – “Everybody Plays the Fool” – American Soul and R&B hit makers, Sept. 21-24 at 3 & 8pm.

New Thrill Ride On the Midway – No trip to The Big E is complete without a getting your adrenaline pumping from a few rides on Midway. Their newest ride, Remix, will certainly do just that. Complete with lights and special effect smoke, Remix spins riders 21 times a minute. Strap in and go on this wild topsy-turvy ride – probably best enjoyed on an empty stomach.

 

The 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, sponsored by Uncommon USA – Fifty years later, memories from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair are brought to life for visitors of all ages to experience with more than 250 pieces of World’s Fair artifacts and souvenirs from the collection of Mike Jacobson. See an original Mold-A-Rama machine, scale recreations of the Unisphere and Ford Pavilion as well as an authentic 1965 Ford Mustang, a 2015 Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition and much more!

 

A Grizzly Experience, sponsored by Chicopee Savings Bank – Get to know North America’s most prestigious predator, the Alaskan Grizzly Bear in an entertaining and educational show at the Avenue ShowPlace, Daily at noon, 3:30pm and 7:30pm.

 

Celebrity Impersonators – If you come to The Big E Sept. 20-28, be prepared for some celebrity sightings! Try not to fangirl when you see Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Danny Devito impersonators strolling the grounds.

 

Farm-A-Rama – Agricultural education! Check out the new model methane digester and learn about renewable energy at the Moove Over Fossil Fuels exhibit, sponsored by the Mass. Dairy Promotion Board.

 

ESE Equestrian Hall of Fame Presentation – An elegant evening to honor the first inductee into The Eastern States Exposition Equestrian Hall of Fame on Sept. 20 at 6pm. Dress to impress and help celebrate the outstanding accomplishments this year’s honoree has made in the equine community!

Butter Sculpture – The food artistry team of Jim Victor and Marie Pelton returns to The Big E to create a masterpiece made from 600 lbs of butter donated by Agrimark/Cabot Creamery, sponsored by the Massachusetts Dairy Promotion Board. Watch this year's sculpture, Pre-show Antics, come to life over the first 10 days of the Fair!

Matunuck Oyster Bar –Talk about fresh food! Mantunuck brings you a great meal straight from the farm to the table! Raw bar, lobster rolls, fried clams, oysters, calamari, shrimp cocktail, clam chowder and fish and chips. Located on Commonwealth Ave.

 

Big E Bistro – Try some international cuisine at the new Big E Bistro. Frigo’s is serving Panini and giant one-pound meatballs; Pasticceria Italia has gelato, Apollo pastries, expresso and cappuccino; and the Burgundy Brook Café offers French meat pies, Danish and breads.

 

Clemenza’s Brick Oven Pizza and Café – The newly revamped Italian Pavilion is now a sit-down dining destination featuring a full menu with delicious Italian flair; eggplant and zucchini fries, brick oven pizza, risotto balls, three types of ravioli, salads, Tuscan chicken wings, pizzettes, Italian Wedding Soup, brick oven breadsticks, cannoli and gelato pops!

 

Pickle Barrel Sirloin Tips – Succulent sirloin tip dinners, sandwiches and sirloin tips on a stick. Located on West Road.

 

Pretzel Princess – Serving up a variety of pretzels with different toppings in the Better Living Center.

Deep Fried Delights – Coffee Break is returning with even more delicious fried concoctions! Get your hands on an order of Red Velvet Oreos – America’s favorite cookie dipped in red velvet cake batter, deep fried and dusted with confectioner’s sugar. Also try S’mores on a Stick! Your favorite bonfire food battered, deep fried and drizzled with chocolate and confectioner’s sugar; and a battered and Deep Fried Nutella and Banana Sandwich. Stop by the Food Court to try ‘em all!

           

Hot Dog Taco – Hot dogs and tacos – a winning combination. At Crow’s Nest on New England Avenue.

 

Fried Dough with the Works – Pop ‘n Fresh on West Road is adding fried dough variations to the menu, including the new maple syrup and bacon dough, a suggestion from Big E fairgoer Tanya Stipek! Other toppings include caramel, coconut glaze, chocolate, peanut butter, strawberries and nuts. Try the deep fried banana balls too!

 

Beer-A-Misu – The New England Craft Beer Pub on the Avenue of States is featuring Beer-A-Misu, a tasty take on an Italian specialty dessert, tiramisu, made with a chocolate fudge cake infused with stout beer and topped with chocolate or raspberry sauce, a creamy cannoli topping and chocolate sprinkles.
