Each year The Big E introduces new foods, entertainment, exhibits and events without forgetting the deep-rooted traditions that molded the Fair into the event it is today. Don Felder, An Evening at the Hotel California – This Rock & Roll Hall of Famer puts on a stellar performance at The Big E, Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m (free)
Tommy James & the Shondells – 1960s superstars Tommy James and his band, the Shondells, climbed to the top of the charts with singles like “Hanky Panky” and “Mony Mony.” Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. (free)

Hard Rock International brings some of its most prized possessions from its vault, including John Lennon’s eyeglasses & hand-written lyrics to “Help,” Kurt Cobain’s 8th grade yearbook and a 90s stage outfit from Whitney Houston, to name a few. The memorabilia will fill a 3,500 sq. ft. exhibit of Rock & Roll history. You won’t believe your eyes as some of music’s most famous possessions come alive, right here at The Big E.
Swifty Swine Racing Pigs – When animal racing comes to mind, pigs usually aren’t the first thing you think of, but The Big E is about to change that. Watch as these adorable pigs chase after an Oreo cookie around the race tracks and see which one crosses the finish line! Races happen daily at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. under the Mallary Rotunda.
National Grid’s Safety Demonstration teaches everything you need to know about safety when it comes to live lines in your neighborhood. These demonstrators will present the best way to avoid hazardous electricity that can have dangerous consequences. The National Grid Safety Demonstration will include a life-size electrical pole similar to the ones in your area and a lesson filled with life-saving tips that can come in handy for families and workers near live lines. You won’t want to miss out on this important safety demonstration—it could save a life!

Jim Victor returns to create an incredible 600 pound butter sculpture from Cabot Creamery Butter. Watch as the new theme, Grown in New England, takes shape throughout the course of the Fair.

Stop by The Big EZ Café to enjoy our new breakfast sandwich: a combination of the classic bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with a new twist! This old time favorite is placed between two halves of a grilled glazed donut!
Deep Fried Strawberry Shortcake: Wrapped in a wonton, deep fried and topped with more strawberries and whipped cream, you’ll find this new sensation at the Coffee Break in the Food Court.
Three Pigs in a Bun: Pork-lovers will want to try this 6-inch grinder roll filled with grilled pork sausage, bacon and pulled pork at the Ultimate BBQ in the Food Court.
