Each year The Big E introduces new foods, entertainment, exhibits and events without forgetting the deep-rooted traditions that molded the Fair into the event it is today. Bring the whole family to experience old time favorites and enjoy something new during this fun-filled 17 day extravaganza in West Springfield, Mass.

Don Felder, An Evening at the Hotel California – This Rock & Roll Hall of Famer puts on a stellar performance at The Big E, Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m (free)

Tommy James & the Shondells – 1960s superstars Tommy James and his band, the Shondells, climbed to the top of the charts with singles like “Hanky Panky” and “Mony Mony.” Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. (free)

Hunter Hayes – Popular country superstar with chart-topping singles like “Storm Warning,” “Wanted” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. (Tickets $39/$29)

Symphonic Sounds of Elvis, featuring Maestro Joe Guercio with very special guests Elvis’s Imperials and vocalist Andy Childs, the King of Rock & Roll lives on. Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. (free)

New Thrill Ride On the Midway

The familiar rides of the Fair always make for a fun-filled afternoon, but this year, feel the force of 3 Gs on our new thrill ride, the Mach 3, for adrenaline-pumping experience! You won’t want to miss out on the fun with a ride as electrifying as this one!


Treasures of the Hard Rock, sponsored in part by Uncommon USA

Hard Rock International brings some of its most prized possessions from its vault, including John Lennon’s eyeglasses & hand-written lyrics to “Help,” Kurt Cobain’s 8th grade yearbook and a 90s stage outfit from Whitney Houston, to name a few. The memorabilia will fill a 3,500 sq. ft. exhibit of Rock & Roll history. You won’t believe your eyes as some of music’s most famous possessions come alive, right here at The Big E.


Swifty Swine Racing Pigs – When animal racing comes to mind, pigs usually aren’t the first thing you think of, but The Big E is about to change that. Watch as these adorable pigs chase after an Oreo cookie around the race tracks and see which one crosses the finish line! Races happen daily at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. under the Mallary Rotunda.


National Grid’s Safety Demonstration teaches everything you need to know about safety when it comes to live lines in your neighborhood. These demonstrators will present the best way to avoid hazardous electricity that can have dangerous consequences. The National Grid Safety Demonstration will include a life-size electrical pole similar to the ones in your area and a lesson filled with life-saving tips that can come in handy for families and workers near live lines. You won’t want to miss out on this important safety demonstration—it could save a life!

Galaxy Girl, sponsored by Chicopee Savings Bank – Galaxy Girl, or Tina Winn as her friends call her, is a seventh generation circus superstar whose act takes place at 127 ft. in the air. Without the help of harnesses or nets to catch her, Galaxy Girl is a trapeze master who flips and turns with impeccable balance. Winn is an unforgettable acrobat you won’t want to miss.


Butter Sculpture

Jim Victor returns to create an incredible 600 pound butter sculpture from Cabot Creamery Butter. Watch as the new theme, Grown in New England, takes shape throughout the course of the Fair.

Chocolate Baconana: A deliciously fruity banana dipped in chocolate and rolled in real bacon at the Veggie Patch on Commonwealth Avenue.


Big E Craz-E Breakfast Sandwich:  The Big has just the thing to start your day off right with a hearty breakfast! Stop by The Big EZ Café to enjoy our new breakfast sandwich: a combination of the classic bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with a new twist! This old time favorite is placed between two halves of a grilled glazed donut!


Deep Fried Strawberry Shortcake: Wrapped in a wonton, deep fried and topped with more strawberries and whipped cream, you’ll find this new sensation at the Coffee Break in the Food Court.


Three Pigs in a Bun: Pork-lovers will want to try this 6-inch grinder roll filled with grilled pork sausage, bacon and pulled pork at the Ultimate BBQ in the Food Court.


Corn on the Cob: seasoned with our choice of flavored butters – at Meester Mike’s on New England Avenue 


Moolicious Pie Shack – Dig your fork into a slice of peach, blueberry, apple, pumpkin and pumpkin turtle pie! Order it plain or eat it a la mode if you wish! The Shack also serves Moo-Nuts, a delectable donut filled with soft serve ice cream and a variety of ice cream toppings.


The Big E Wine and Cheese Barn is a new, 30’ x 60’ structure and will include all of your favorite Massachusetts wines and New England and New York cheeses, featuring winners from our annual Big E Northeast Gold Wine Competition and The Big E Gold Medal Cheese Competition. The cheese portion of the Wine & Cheese Barn is sponsored by Must Be The Milk, brought to you by Keep Local Farms.


New England Craft Beer Pub – located near the Grange Building, features craft beers from each New England state. Pair them with pub food; a Reuben, lobster mac & cheese, Irish Nachos, hearty beef stew, chicken pot pie, and more.
