Budweiser Clydesdales

You’ve seen them on TV ads and in parades across the nation. Now see them live! The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales have returned to The Big E to help put a shining star on the Daily Parade procession.  These finely groomed marvels are sure to be impressive as they thunder down the street pulling a colorful red, white and gold beer wagon filled with Budweiser!

Did you know?

  • The Budweiser Clydesdales tradition began in 1933 when August A. Busch, Jr. gave his father a team of Clydesdales and a bright red brewery wagon to celebrate the end of Prohibition.
  • Today, Anheuser-Busch owns the largest herd of Clydesdales in the world with about five stallions and 40 mares in the herd, and there are about 25 foals born each year.
  • The Dalmation first appeared on top of the beer wagon in 1950 for the Newark Brewery Opening and has been the official mascot ever since!

Where Can You Find The Budweiser Clydesdales?

  • These majestic creatures will be part of the Daily Parade every day at 5 p.m. (except Mondays)
  • You can also visit them at their home near the Giant Slide, where you may find them being groomed in preparation for the parade.
