Agriculture early entry deadline - August 15! (Late entries - double the
entry fee until Sept. 1).
Creative Arts is also accepting late entries until August 15.
Please note: Alpacas are accepting on a waiting list basis
only.
Online entry is available for
use. Get your entries done day or night and receive a confirmation email upon
completion. If you have any problems or
questions with this process please call us for assistance at (413)
205-5011. Entries are also
accepted by mail or fax (413) 205-5104. Entries postmarked or sent after August 15
will be considered late and only accepted at the higher fee. All entries must be submitted prior to Sept.

Feed Store Forms now available!
The 2010 Big
E pre-order forms are now available by clicking here. Please
note: if you are tax-exempt, please submit your form early to expedite the
checkout process. Megan Eberly is back to join us in 2010 as The Big E Feed
Store manager. Pricing is very competitive and reasonable. Large square bales
are available on preorder only. All exhibitors will be receiving a form with

Christmas Tree Exhibit
Volunteers Needed
Christmas tree volunteers are needed at the 2010 Big
E. The Christmas Tree exhibit Christmas in September, is outside the entrance to
the Mallary Complex. Volunteers are needed to help display the winners of the
tree and wreath competitions and educate fairgoers about trees. For more

Cheese competition
volunteers
We are looking for folks
who will work for cheese! The Big E Gold Medal Cheese Competition is being held
Wednesday, September 1. Volunteers are needed to cut and wrap cheese, and work
with judges on evaluating entries. We also need volunteers to help
categorization, Tuesday, August 31. Cheesemakers entered in the competition are
not eligible to participate. If you are interested, please email aginfo@TheBigE.com.
Volunteers needed for
The Fiber Nook!
The Fiber Nook needs you! Fleece and fiber enthusiasts
who would like to volunteer their time should contact Barbara Haberlin at (508)
637-1239 or at beadsheep@charter.net. The Fiber Nook is open during The Big E
(Sept. 17-Oct. 3) from 9am to 8pm. Fiber products on display are sold and
benefit the New England Youth Sheep Show held here in July. Your support would
be much appreciated!
NEYSS Sheep Show A Success!
New England Sheep and Wool Growers Assn. completed a successful
weekend in the Mallary Complex. Over 700 sheep and youths from 14 states
competed in the 26th Annual New England Youth Sheep Show. NESWGA also sponsored
its annual sheep and equipment auction. Information and show results are
available at www.nesheep.org.

Gourd Competition
There is a new way of
participating in this year's edition of The Big E: GOURDS! From fresh to dried,
there is a gourd class for you. Each entry is $5 and premiums will be awarded.
