EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION WINS

AWARDS AT IAFE CONVENTION

 

Eastern States Exposition received a totalof 15 communications,agriculture and competitive exhibit awards at the recent International Association ofFairs and Expositions (IAFE) convention held in Las Vegas.  

 

Hall of Honor Communications Awards included three first place honors for: Magazine Ad, Billboard Campaign, and Best Use of Social Media; two second place awards for Best Advertising Campaign and Brochure/Flyer; and four third place nods for Single Billboard, Color Newspaper Ad, Non-Traditional/Out of Home Advertising and Newsletter – print.

 

The Fair took home two first place Agriculture awards: Special or Specific Event for Agricultural Exhibitors – for its live web broadcast of the Belted Galloway Show and Agriculture Photo – a picture of a small boy exhibiting a cow. The department also won third place in the Agriculture Photo – Agriculture Series category for a picture of a young swine exhibitor.

 

The Competitive Exhibit Awards included first place for Competitive Exhibit Display Method and/or Prop – a new native produce display in Farm-A-Rama; and two second place honors for General Competitive Exhibit Display Photo and General Display Photo or Photo Series.

 

Fairs from across North America vie for awards in advertising or promotion excellence and agricultural events developed or exhibited at their annual events. Each year, a delegation from The Big E participates in the international convention and the Marketing and Agriculture departments submit entries to be judged in the awards competitions.
