Agriculture Experts wanted for Farm-A-Rama Stage

Know a lot about cows? Consider yourself an expert in aquaculture? Know a lot about impact of agriculture on the local economy? Are you currently presenting to school groups about caring for your pets? Would like to share your knowledge and expertise with others? If so, the Farm-A-Rama Stage might be the place for you!

Eastern States Exposition is currently looking for those with expertise to educate our fairgoers about current agricultural industries and trends. The Farm-A-Rama Stage is a 10 x 13 stage located in the Stroh building. Stroh, home to Farm-A-Rama, gives over 1 million fairgoers the chance to learn about agriculture through a variety of interactive demonstrations, displays and exhibits. Suggested subjects are, but not limited to, nutrition, breeds of livestock, land preservation, farming practices, aquaculture, produce and other related industries.

Presenters are expected to make 3 presentations on the days signed up for. All presenters should be prepared to offer more information upon receipt of proposal. Presenters will receive admission tickets and parking passes to the fair.

Proposals should include: a 200 word abstract, how much storage space is needed, what age groups you are targeting, and dates of availability. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2008. Christmas Tree & Wreath

The New England Christmas Tree Growers Alliance, in conjunction with Eastern States Exposition  is looking for volunteers to assist with their exhibit.  If you have a special talent for wreath or bough making or want to help with the pre-show, show, and post-show setup.
