Eastern States Exposition is known for its strong commitment to agriculture. We started in 1916 with the National Dairy Show and continue today with outstanding agricultural exhibits. On our grounds you will not only find livestock shows of all kinds but horticulture, agricultural products, contests and educational demonstrations.
Join us during The Big E to learn all about agriculture in New England.
Need a milk break? Stop in at our Dairy Barn where you can see our modern milking parlor in use twice daily by dairy exhibitors. If you miss the live action, don't despair. We have it all captured on video. You can learn about everything from how and why we milk our cows to nutritional information on dairy products. This fantastic program is sponsored by the New England Dairy Promotion Board. Now that you've worked up your thirst, stop at the Dairy Bar and get a refreshing bottle of Guida milk. Choose from their fabulous flavors in the "Super Single" 12oz bottle.
Want to see the animals? Amble down the aisles of the Mallary Complex. We suggest that you check the schedule to see when your favorite animal will be at the fair. We change the barn's inhabitants many times during the fair. Along the main aisle, see goat milking demonstrations, sheep shearing and a whole lot more. We also highlight several agriculture exhibits that help you understand how agriculture affects our economy and everyday life. At the Fiber Nook, learn how fibers from a variety of animals are used. See our Butter Sculpture which is made of more than 500 lbs. of butter.
Christmas is coming. Get into the mood by visiting the New England Christmas Tree Grower's Exhibit outside of the Mallary Complex. See the best trees in New England and learn what to look for when you chose your own tree to for the holidays. See how a tree grows.
See the tractors and equipment your father and grandfather used on the farm at our Antique Tractor and Farm Equipment Display. Look for it next to the Christmas Tree Display in front of the Mallary Complex.
